Sanjay Lavakare made a significant career change, transitioning from a 16-year stint in IT to focus exclusively on his passion for painting. His latest creations are inspired by the distinctive features of Koramangala, influenced by conversations with local residents. Having previously been part of Bengaluru's IT industry, Sanjay realized that his true calling lay in the world of art. Although his IT company offered him a sabbatical, he opted to pursue painting as a full-time endeavor. A regular participant in the Chithra Santhe art exhibition, Sanjay describes how his newest piece captures the essence of Koramangala. Collaborating with former neighbors Ashish and Ritu from L Street, Koramangala, they gathered input from the community to identify 50-60 specific elements unique to the neighborhood. Some of these elements are clearly depicted in his painting, while others require a bit of interpretation.
